Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking an experienced Naval Architect to work on hydrodynamic performance projects. The successful candidate will perform detailed analyses and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize vessel designs. Ideal applicants will hold a degree in Naval Architecture, possess strong CAD skills, and have a solid understanding of ship stability. This is a contract position with an immediate start, and candidates must qualify for BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

  • Experience with hydrodynamic analyses and stability assessments.
  • Familiarity with CFD packages relevant to marine applications.
  • Understanding of structural design requirements for marine systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrodynamics analyses on surface and subsurface vessels.
  • Analyse test data for hydrodynamic performance validation.
  • Collaborate with engineers for design and regulatory submissions.
