Job summary

A leading community healthcare provider in Radford Semele is seeking a dedicated Named Nurse for Safeguarding to ensure the organization meets its responsibilities for safeguarding vulnerable individuals. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Safeguarding Team and managing Safeguarding Specialist Nurses. Job description
Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Named Nurse for Safeguarding to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective care across our services. In this key role, you will support the Safeguarding Team to ensure the organisation meets its contractual responsibilities to safeguard children, young people, and adults with care and support needs who access our services both directly and indirectly. You will work collaboratively with partner agencies, the wider safeguarding team, and colleagues across HCRG Care Group, promoting best practice, providing expert advice, and ensuring robust safeguarding processes are in place and consistently followed.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible to and accountable within the managerial framework of HCRG Care Group Services.
  • Support the BU Head and safeguarding team to ensure that the organisation meets its responsibilities for safeguarding.
  • Deputise for the leadership team when required.
  • Work as a member of the organisation's safeguarding team at all times and in relation to the roles and responsibilities listed.
  • Management of the Safeguarding Specialist Nurses, delegation of work, and provision of supervision.
  • Relevant law, policy, and practice (e.g., Level 2 safeguarding training or PGDip in a related field), a minimum of three years’ experience in a healthcare role focused on babies, children, and young people, including direct experience working with looked-after children.
  • Proven experience working as a Safeguarding Specialist Nurse (or equivalent) within a designated safeguarding team.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the writing of detailed and comprehensive reports and reviews, particularly in safeguarding or looked-after children.
