Overview

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is advertising a Trust Registrar role aimed at doctors who want to develop a special interest while providing patient‑facing care.

Posts combine 2 days per fortnight dedicated to your chosen special interest as well as education, career development, and practical care.

Main duties
  • Provision of care with responsibility for the management of patients presenting to the ED
  • Referral of patients to other specialities as appropriate
  • Dedicated special interest day per week
  • Involvement in specialty and cross‑specialty multi‑disciplinary teams and meetings
  • Involvement in relevant administration duties
  • Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and other clinicians as appropriate
  • Active involvement in audit and clinical governance including service improvement activities
Essential person specification
  • Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
  • Medical Degree from recognised medical school MB BS (or equivalent)
  • Full MRCEM examination ATLS/ALS/APLS in date qualification
  • IAC in anaesthetics or equivalent evidence of airway skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • 4 or more years experience in Emergency Medicine / related specialties
  • Proven track record of hospital‑based clinical practice in Emergency Medicine
  • Demonstrates intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Possesses good communication skills
