What you’ll be doing:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Developing and implementing an engaging, inclusive music curriculum
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress and attainment
  • Providing constructive feedback to support students in achieving their musical potential
  • Organising and leading concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the wider educational experience
  • Contributing to school events and activities that promote the Music department
You’ll need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Music or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the secondary music curriculum and best practice
  • Proficiency in teaching and playing a range of musical instruments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
