Overview
The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and ensuring efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance priorities effectively.
- Carry out inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and servicing schedules.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns during night shifts and implement immediate solutions.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the engineering and manufacturing environment.
Profile/Qualifications
- Experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during night shifts.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
