Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative for Ely, covering the East region, to join our Planned Works team. You will perform repairs including windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, and general maintenance, working in a team of about 10 with some lone working.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in a core subject, valid UK driving licence, and experience in similar roles. You will be provided with a company van and tools, and the position is based in Ely with responsibilities across nearby

Qualifications

• Must hold or be working towards NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical, and WRAS where plumbing Level 3 is required).
• Recent experience in a similar role.
• Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• PC literate and able to use PDA for work scheduling.
• Full valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract and service specifications.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice easily understood by the customer, with complete daily records.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations within contract specs.
• Resolve problems or initiate resolution, keeping customers informed per agreed processes.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stocks replenished per requisition procedures and budgets.

Multi-Trade Operative - Planned Works

Ely – covering the East region

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 16:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Planned Works team based in Ely. For this role you will be working in a team of around 10, and mostly lone working with team working opportunities. Jobs required would be, to install new windows , doors, kitchens, bathrooms and general repairs where required With a mix of skills and qualifications you would be required to cover all aspects of building repairs and maintenance You will be provided with a company van and tools. The role will cover the surrounding areas within an hour of Ely, Cambridgeshire.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative - Planned Works will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
