Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited in Ely, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative for our Voids team. You will work in a small team and cover duties from installing windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, to general repairs across properties within an hour of Ely.

The role offers a company van and tools, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 16:30pm, with competitive salary £35,579–£37,452 per year and opportunities for progression within a not-for-profit housing

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in carpentry/electrical or equivalent.
• Plumbing Level 3 (WRAS) or related certification.
• Unvented - G3 Certificate may be required.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties.
• Provide accurate progress updates and maintain daily records.
• Respond to service issues and keep customers informed.
• Maintain tools and equipment and manage stock as needed.
• Work across Ely and surrounding areas within an hour drive.

Multi-Trade Operative - Voids

Ely – covering the East region

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 16:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Voids team based in Ely. For this role you will be working in a team of around 10, and mostly lone working with team working opportunities. Jobs required would be, to install new windows , doors, kitchens, bathrooms and general repairs where required With a mix of skills and qualifications you would be required to cover all aspects of building repairs and maintenance You will be provided with a company van and tools. The role will cover the surrounding areas within an hour of Ely, Cambridgeshire.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative - Voids will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
