Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Castle Rising is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure that machinery operates at peak performance. Candidates should have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and experience in a Machine Tool environment, along with strong fault-finding skills. About the role

Your main responsibility will be, but not limited to, maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery across our manufacturing site. This is a hands on role where you'll work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure our equipment operates at peak performance.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on equipment and machinery
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to reduce production downtime
  • Diagnose electrical faults and implement safe, long lasting solutions
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, production staff, and external contractors
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in Machine Tool environment
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to safety and quality
  • Experience with CMMS
  • 18th Edition Regs
  • FLT / MEWP trained (advantageous)
  • Understanding of 5S and TPM practices (advantageous)

  • Salary Range: Up to £45,376.20 dependant on qualifications and experience

  • 37.5 hour week (paid breaks)
