Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Temporary)
Location: Scunthorpe
Contract Type: Temporary

Shift Pattern: 06:00-14:00

Overview

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the engineering team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will support production by ensuring all machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and performance
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment as required
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours where required
