Job summary

A UK food manufacturer is seeking a competent multi-skilled engineer to join their electromechanical maintenance division. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of FMCG manufacturing experience. Are you a competent multi-skilled engineer with an eye for detail looking to develop skills within the electromechanical maintenance division?

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
  • Maintain plant and equipment to optimum standards safely with minimum downtime
  • Ensure that all health and safety and food hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure the efficient usage of spare parts, consumables and equipment
  • Carry out planned maintenance on the equipment which includes in depth visual checks to critical machinery components to identify damage and metal on metal contact or wear
  • Document PPM checks and record any necessary corrective action
  • Ensure that the workshops and engineering equipment are maintained and in a clean condition that this fit for purpose
  • Understand how to trace faults (route cause analysis)
  • Understand the importance of maintenance and performance validation
  • Be fully trained in the Manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations, lubrication requirements and critical locations on the equipment
What We Look For:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in (Electrical) Engineering
  • 2+ years previous experience of FMCG manufacturing – advantageous
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • Strong level of attention to detail
