Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Facilities Manager to oversee integrated facilities management services for the Thales account. The role is primarily based in Reading with travel to Oxford and London sites, and involves managing hard and soft FM across a high-profile estate.

You will lead on-site teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering value for the account.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering hard and soft FM services in a client-facing, multi-site environment.
• Strong technical background in Engineering or Building Services (M&E).
• Qualification in Engineering or Building Services (HNC/HND/degree) or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of statutory compliance, HVAC, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of hard FM (M&E, compliance, PPM, reactive maintenance) and soft FM (cleaning, security, waste, catering).
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards.
• Act as primary client contact for Thales stakeholders and build strong relationships.
• Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to high performance.
• Oversee asset management, lifecycle planning, and maintenance strategies.
• Manage budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and identify value-add opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, implement continuous improvement.
• Produce operational reports, support audits and governance.
• Support mobilisation and project delivery across the account.
