Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a technically qualified Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated FM services for the Thales account. The role is primarily based in Reading with responsibility for Oxford and London sites, leading hard and soft FM, asset lifecycle, and budget management.

You will interface with Thales stakeholders, drive operational excellence, and manage on-site teams and subcontractors across a diverse, high-profile estate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering hard and soft FM services in a client-facing, multi-site environment.
• Experience managing budgets and driving efficiencies across portfolios.
• Understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of hard FM services (M&E, compliance, PPM, reactive maintenance).
• Oversee soft FM services (cleaning, security, waste, catering).
• Act as primary client interface with Thales stakeholders.
• Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure high performance.
• Oversee asset management and lifecycle planning across the portfolio.
• Manage budgets, drive cost efficiencies and identify value-add opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, implement continuous improvement.
• Produce operational reports and support audits and governance.
