Qualifications

Job description
Overview

We are looking for an MRI Band 7 HCPC registered Radiographer to join our MRI team at RLH. The post gives you the opportunity to use your clinical expertise, knowledge and skills in MRI to offer stability to the team at RLH.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of specialist MRI scans in the extended hours 7‑day service.
  • Offer supervision to band 6 radiographers, imaging assistants, students, and visitors to the MRI department.
  • Ensure patient flow in the trust by actively managing the flow of emergency and in‑patients to ensure same day scanning.
  • Engage in prompt protocolling, checking of conditional devices, booking of sedated and GA patients, liaison with radiologists and other clinicians to actively unblock barriers to scanning.
  • Deal with and diffuse potential complaints to the patient and carer's satisfaction.
  • On‑/out of hours work is a requirement of this role.
Qualifications
  • Accredited post graduate training in MRI and at least 2 years of experience as a senior radiographer in MRI.
  • Post graduate experience in MRI with the ability to train and engage radiographers in MRI.
  • Excellent organisational skills, self‑motivated and able to motivate others within the team.
  • Current awareness of MRI safety with devices and implants.
