Job summary

An international manufacturing company in Whitstable is looking for a Design Engineer (Mould Tooling). This permanent position offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum based on experience. The role involves supporting production, collaborating on NPI projects, and using CAD software for 3D modelling. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant field, BEng qualification, and familiarity with simulation tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Design Engineering experience preferably in Automotive or Aerospace.
• Experienced in design for manufacture and design for assembly.
• Working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in addressing immediate production stops.
• Collaborate in NPI/APQP project meetings.
• Design and maintain detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
• Optimize new component/mould tooling designs using simulation tools.
• Ensure formal handover to Manufacturing Process Engineering group.
