A prestige main dealer in Tonbridge is seeking a capable Technician and MOT Tester to join a busy, well‑structured workshop.

This position involves a blend of MOT testing, routine servicing, repair work and general maintenance, ensuring the workshop runs smoothly and consistently delivers high standards.

The role is open to all candidates, from Level 2 or fast‑fit backgrounds, to experienced diagnostics, provided they hold a valid MOT license and are confident working across a range of workshop tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Complete servicing, repairs and maintenance work
• Perform diagnostic checks and identify required repair work
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and workshop standards
• Support overall workshop efficiency and time‑saving targets
• Work collaboratively with the wider technical team

Requirements

• Valid MOT testing licence (essential)
• Level 2 qualification minimum, experience in a garage, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• Confident in servicing and repair tasks beyond MOT testing
• Strong attention to detail and a reliable, organised work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy, productive workshop

Salary and Benefits

• Basic up to £36,000
• OTE £40,000-£42,000 (uncapped bonus based on time saved and efficiency)
• Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00, 1-in-3 Saturdays, 08:30-12:30
• 20 days' holiday + bank holidays (rising to 22 after 2 years)
• Car benefit scheme after 6 months
