Role Overview

Qualifications & Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

The key focus is on quality improvements in safety, effectiveness, and patient experience in addition to corporate responsibilities, supporting other colleagues and on-call or hospital bleep rota duties.

Charter & Digital

The matron will also be responsible for delivering the goals as espoused within the Matron’s Charter (2019) taking a proactive as well as reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control. Matrons have an individual and collective responsibility to develop digital and data capabilities for patient benefits. Supporting staff to use information and technology is therefore vital and pivotal to their role.
