As Matron you will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe and effective care that improves patient outcomes and patient experience.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

The Modern Matron has a pivotal role in creating the best experiences and opportunities for our staff to become local, national, and international leaders in healthcare with the patient at the centre of everything we do. The Modern Matron’s role is to empower others to strive for continuous evidence based improvements and to motivate staff to always deliver the highest quality care to all who access our services to promote World Class Care at UHCW NHS Trust. The key focus is on quality improvements in safety, effectiveness, and patient experience in addition to corporate responsibilities, supporting other colleagues and on-call or hospital bleep rota duties.
The matron will also be responsible for delivering the goals as espoused within the Matron’s Charter (2019) taking a proactive as well as reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control. Matrons have an individual and collective responsibility to develop digital and data capabilities for patient benefits. Supporting staff to use information and technology is therefore vital and pivotal to their role.
