Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Eastbourne area. You will perform planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics, work from a fully equipped RAC van, and travel across Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford and nearby towns.

The role avoids on‑demand callouts and focuses on quality, scheduled work with a clear schedule. Expect a base salary of £40,170 with on‑target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required
• 2+ years' experience in vehicle maintenance or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform planned servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment
• Carry out in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Ensure vehicle safety checks meet RAC standards
