Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician to perform scheduled servicing and diagnostics on members’ vehicles at driveways and car parks. You will use advanced mobile equipment and work within a structured, non-emergency environment to deliver high-quality repairs.

You will benefit from a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension and life assurance. Base salary ~£40k with OTE up to £52k and overtime options.

Qualifications

• Must have either NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years’ experience asVehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.
• Flexibility to work 40 hours per week with some Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide vehicle safety checks and member advice on inspections.
