Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll work pre-booked jobs with on-site diagnostics and routine servicing, delivering quality repairs away from the workshop environment.

You'll operate from a fully equipped RAC van, with a clear schedule across Maidstone and surrounding areas. The role offers a base salary around £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000, plus overtime, and a structured, predictable workload.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
