Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform pre-booked diagnostics, routine servicing, and in-depth repairs using advanced mobile equipment, delivering quality work away from roadside callouts.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with 8am–8pm windows, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and have access to a fully equipped RAC van, tools and ongoing training as part of a national network that values independence and high standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
