Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You’ll operate on a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs, performing servicing, diagnostics, comprehensive repairs and safety checks, directly at members’ locations.

With a fully equipped RAC van and tools, you’ll contribute to high-quality service, while enjoying structured hours, overtime options and a clear career path in a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member guidance and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
