Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at members’ driveways or car parks, with a pre-booked schedule and no emergency callouts.

You’ll use mobile equipment, provide expert advice, and ensure RAC standards for safety checks. A fully equipped RAC van, uniform and tools are supplied from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
