Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs at members' driveways or workplaces, following a pre-booked schedule and RAC standards.

You’ll work with a fully equipped RAC van and diagnostic tools, building on your expertise while enjoying a structured, non-emergency workflow and clear career development within a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
