Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll handle pre‑booked jobs with a clear digital schedule, performing servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs away from reactive callouts.

The role offers a fully equipped RAC van, uniform, fuel card and advanced diagnostics, with a 40‑hour week and some Saturday work. Overtime and progression opportunities provide earnings growth.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in mobile vehicle repair and diagnostics.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with senior technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in‑depth repairs as you would in a workshop.
• Provide informed advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
