Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You will complete scheduled, pre-booked appointments with a fully equipped RAC van, diagnostic tools, and support to deliver quality work at members’ homes or workplaces.

Expect a 40-hour week with core hours and occasional Saturdays, a competitive base salary of £40,170 and potential OTE up to £52,000 through overtime and bonuses. No emergency callouts in this role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs and safety checks per RAC standards.
• Provide member advice based on inspection findings.
