Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll work on pre-booked appointments in a defined local area, performing servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

This role eliminates emergency callouts and offers consistent, planned work. You’ll enjoy a structured development pathway, a 40-hour week (Mon–Sat), and plenty of support to keep you moving safely and efficiently between jobs across the Bath cluster

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with 2+ years experience.
• 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Use advanced mobile equipment for diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
