Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll work on a planned, pre-booked schedule in Bridgwater and surrounding areas, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with a fully equipped RAC van.

There are no emergency callouts; you’ll use advanced diagnostics, deliver high-quality work, and build your career through our structured development programme and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
