Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule across Bath and surrounding areas, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs from a RAC van with full tooling and support.

You’ll deliver high-quality vehicle maintenance, safety checks and customer guidance, with a structured development pathway and overtime options. The role offers a full-time 40-hour week and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
