Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. The role covers a scheduled workflow with pre-booked appointments, away from emergency callouts, using a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics. You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours and occasional Saturdays.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with support and planned parts ordering, ensuring high-quality service for members.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
