Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division to deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members, from driveways to workplaces. You will operate on a pre-booked schedule with the tools and support needed to complete quality work.

Expect full UK driving duties, a fully equipped RAC van, and a clear progression pathway within our structure. The role offers a 40-hour week with Monday–Saturday availability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work through a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs.
