Job summary

Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division, delivering planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics with no emergency callouts. You’ll be out on the road across the Bridgwater cluster, operating to a clearly planned schedule and using a fully equipped RAC van to keep members moving.

Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
