Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division, delivering planned, on‑site servicing and diagnostics to members across the Bridgwater cluster and surrounding areas. You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van on pre‑booked appointments, not emergency calls, with structured development and career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience

5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
