Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on members’ vehicles, delivering high-quality repairs with the tools and support provided. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van, following RAC standards while enjoying a structured, non-emergency workload.

Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, and a UK driving licence with <6 points. The role offers a 40-hour week, with some Saturdays, and a base salary around £40,170 with earnings up to £52,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
