Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division in the Bridgwater cluster and cover local areas. You will work on pre-booked, scheduled jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, diagnostic tools, and support to deliver high-quality servicing and repairs on customers' driveways or workplaces.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with <=6 points. The role offers a 40-hour week with 8am-8pm shifts and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Pre-booked, scheduled appointments with customers.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that can be completed away from a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
