Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll work in the Bridgwater area, delivering planned servicing and diagnostics from a fully equipped RAC van, with a clear digital schedule and no on-road emergencies.

This full-time role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime, a range of benefits, 23–25 holidays and a company pension. You’ll need either NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or 5+

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
