Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to work within the SMR division. You will handle pre-booked, on-site servicing and diagnostics, delivering high-quality repairs with organised support and planned workflows.

Expect a base salary of £40,170 with earnings potential up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime. A 40-hour week, with 8:30am–5:00pm core hours and 1 in 4 Saturdays, offers structured, rewarding work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and inspections.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspections.
