Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division. You’ll work a full-time 40-hour week on pre-booked jobs, with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Expect a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000 and overtime opportunities.

You’ll use advanced diagnostics and perform vehicle servicing and repairs away from a workshop. Benefits include guaranteed overtime options, a range of financial and wellbeing perks, and career development as the SMR division grows beyond

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in light vehicle maintenance or 5+ years' experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on allocated vehicles.
• diagnose issues using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations post-inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
