Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division with Mobile Vehicle Technicians delivering planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members’ locations. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, performing diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs with full tooling and support provided.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, modern diagnostics, and a clear progression path within a national organisation that values independence and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
