Job summary

RAC SMR division is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to perform planned servicing and diagnostics on members' vehicles, delivering high-quality repairs away from the workshop.

You will operate with a fixed schedule, access to a fully equipped RAC van, and a supportive team that emphasises professional, on-site service. The role offers stable hours and clear progression in a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
