Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division with Mobile Vehicle Technicians who perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at members’ homes or workplaces. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van with a clear digital schedule and pre-booked jobs, delivering high-quality service and technical support across the Newbury cluster area.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
You’ll be comfortable using diagnostic tools and mobile equipment to service and repair vehicles.

Responsibilities

Routine servicing of vehicles.
Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
In-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
