Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division, delivering planned maintenance and diagnostics directly at members' homes or workplaces across the Trowbridge cluster.

You will work a scheduled list of jobs with pre-booked appointments, using mobile diagnostics and a fully equipped RAC van to perform quality service safely and efficiently. This role offers clear progression and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
