Job summary

RAC in the UK is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. Work is scheduled and pre-booked, with no emergency callouts, and you will service, diagnose and repair on customers' driveways or workplace car parks.

The role offers a 40-hour week (Mon–Sat availability) with a base salary of £40,178 and on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime, bonuses, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
