Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the UK. You’ll work on a planned schedule, performing servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs for members, from driveways to workplaces.

You’ll drive a fully equipped RAC van, use advanced diagnostics and uphold RAC standards. The role is full-time with a 40-hour week, core hours 8:30–17:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays, with earnings up to £52,000 including bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or similar role.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
