Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician within our SMR division in the UK. You’ll work a 40-hour week on pre-booked jobs, servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs at members’ driveways or workplaces, not emergency callouts.

You’ll use advanced mobile diagnostics, provide expert vehicle safety checks, and offer trusted advice to keep customers moving. With a base salary of £40,170 and potential earnings up to £52,000, this role offers guaranteed overtime options, a clear schedule and great

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Education
