Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll operate in a planned, pre-booked schedule, servicing and repairing light vehicles on customer driveways and in workplace car parks.

No emergency callouts, no unpredictable shifts—just organized, pre-booked work. You’ll work within the Cheltenham cluster covering nearby towns, using advanced diagnostics and a full RAC van with tools provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d typically complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
