Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division to deliver planned maintenance and servicing directly to members, from their driveway to workplace car parks. This is a mobile role with a pre-booked schedule and a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, and tools.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs to RAC standards, with clear schedules and dedicated support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
