Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division with Mobile Vehicle Technicians in Greater London. You’ll perform planned servicing and diagnostics, handle in‑depth repairs on-site, advise members, and ensure vehicle safety checks while operating from a fully equipped RAC van.

Expect a 40-hour week with 8:30–17:00 core hours, some Saturday work, and growth opportunities through overtime and bonus schemes. Competitive base salary plus bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
