Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division to deliver planned, structured repair and servicing directly to members, from driveways to workplaces. You’ll work from a clear digital schedule, with pre-booked jobs and a focus on doing the job properly in a mobile setting.

You’ll carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs, offering expert member advice and RAC‑standard safety checks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
