Job summary

The RAC invites skilled Mobile Vehicle Technicians to join our SMR division, delivering planned, on-site servicing and diagnostics to members at driveways and car parks. You will operate within a structured schedule, with no emergency callouts, focusing on quality repairs and guidance for members.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
• Pre-booked, scheduled jobs with prepared plans
