Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division to deliver planned repairs and servicing directly to members’ driveways and workplace car parks. You’ll operate from a scheduled list of pre-booked appointments with the tools and support needed to perform high-quality work.

You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop, plus provide informed vehicle advice and safety checks in line with RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
